Legitimation of New Media for Religious Youth: Orthodox Elites’ Approach to Adolescent Youngsters’ Engagement with Digital Worlds

The promulgation of new media has generated substantial dilemmas for religious communities in terms its use, implementation, and impact on youth’s socialization. Previous research echoed authorities’ concern regarding the widespread integration yet done little to delineate their narratives legitimation. Ergo, question is begged, how do legitimate use media? Utilizing a case study approach, this focuses social construction media’s legitimacy within Jewish Religious-Zionist community Israel, through an analysis community’s educational elite.
